Exam Room Assistants

Natalie has been with us since October 2007. She started in Client Services and made the move to ERA a year later. She is now the ERA supervisor and proud to be Dr. Lechten`s Exam Room Assistant. She is owned by 2 French Bulldogs: K.C. and Louie, a cat named Kiss and a thoroughbred horse named Ms. Demena. In the past Natalie owned a catering company and a coffee shop and been in the customer service industry for 25 years! She enjoys trail riding, gardening and volunteering for animal related causes. She has always loved animals and that’s what brought her here to the Allandale Team.

Caitlyn joined us in september of 2007. She completed her Hotel and Resort diploma from Georgian college but prefers working with animals. You will find Caitlyn working on our team as an exam room technician. Caitlyn has recently grtaduated as a Canine Rehabilitation technician and also works alongside Dr. Rogers in our Rehab programs. She has a golden retriever named Kash and is currently leasing a horse named Magic. In her spare time Caitlyn enjoys competing in horse shows throughout the summer months, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends!

Rachel joined the Allandale team in fall 2012 after moving to Barrie from Brantford, ON. She lives at home with her family and jack Russell mix “Earl”. In her spare time she enjoys walking, drawing, salt water aquariums and spending time with her friends and family.

Rachel loves all sorts of animals, big and small, and you can usually find her assisting Dr. Rogers in her appointments. She can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends!

Martina joined the Allandale Veterinary Hospital team in the fall of 2014 after moving to Barrie from Guelph with her fiancé. Martina successfully completed the Veterinary Medical Office Administration Program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in 2010. With her previous experience at Guelph Animal Hospital, The Guelph Humane Society and several veterinary clinics in Guelph, as well as the Ministry of Natural Resources, Martina brings a variety of skills and experience to the table in her position with us. In the future, Martina plans to continue developing her knowledge and know-how in the veterinary field.

When Martina has free time, she spends almost all of it outdoors! She loves to kayak, swim, camp, hike, and run. The cold weather doesn’t deter her either – she loves the winter and takes all the snowy opportunities she can to snowshoe and snowboard. When she does head indoors, she can be found snuggling with her pets – 3 gorgeous boys, “Dexter”, “Jeffrey Norton” and “Charlie”

Meghan is the newest member of the Allandale team, having joined us in February 2015, and assists in both client services and as an exam room technician! After recently moving to Barrie with her husband Cory, Meghan worked briefly as a dog groomer before coming to Allandale.

She has always been an animal owner and lover and has previously volunteered with the Toronto Humane Society. She is thrilled to be here now, perusing a career in animal care.

Meghan has been a saxophone player and professional musician for nearly 15 years and on her days off can be found performing at gigs with multiple Barrie bands and teaching saxophone and piano lessons with a private music school. Meghan and Cory hope to add a four legged family member to their household later this year!

Tosha returned to AVH as an exam room assistant after taking a year off to spend with her children. Tosha is a mother of two growing boys and pet mom to a long haired cat named Gordon, an exotic short hair cat named Cinderella and a teacup poodle named Sadie. Tosha loves all animals big and small but has a special interest in feline behavior and care.

“Growing up I have always loved animals and helping all the ones in need. My goal one day is to have a hobby farm where I can continue to grow my furry family. In my spare time I enjoy going on nature walks with my husband and our two dogs Opie and Storm, reading ,capturing memories with photography, and hanging out with friends and family.”
