Boarding staff

Together, these veterinarians, technicians, and staff members bring enthusiasm to our Veterinary Hospital.


Shawnah is the boarding supervisor as well as  a busy mom to three teenagers as well as her furry children, “Jaxson” a six year old Golden Retriever and “Vegas” a cat. Besides her love of animals, Shawna enjoys hikes in the forest with “Jaxson”, fishing, camping and just aboout anything else outdoors!

Madison first joined our team as a co op student in the treatment ward, she now is working in our boarding facilities, loving and watching over the animals in our care. She enjoys the outdoors and spends most of her free time at her horse barn where she owns 2 horses, “Bella” and “Dusty” as well as 3 dogs “Mya”, “Gunner”, and “Tessa”. She will be graduating grade 12 this year, and is going to go to school and pursue a career with animals.

Danielle first joined the team as a co – op student in boarding. She was hired this year after graduating high school. She has been an animal enthusiast since she was little. She gives the pets that stay with us extra special attention like hugs and pay time. She owns a cat “Mr. Whiskers” and a dog “Sandy”. She looks forward to a career in becoming a registered veterinary technician.

Marcy made the move from Toronto to Barrie in 2010 and hasn’t looked back since. She has spent a lifetime in various customer service related industries but has always been passionate about the care and welfare of animals.

Marcy joined the Boarding Team in February 2016 and  when not caring for clients pets, she has her own clan of rescues to care for – Melody (pictured), 2 feline friends Lucy and Baxter and a recently adopted senior Shih-Tzu affectionately known as The Dude.

In her spare time, Marcy enjoys cottaging, road trips, spending time outdoors and loves a good storm. She is a member of a small but mighty local choir, enjoys music of most genres, photography and is an avid knitter.

Elizabeth has always had a love for animals since she was a little girl and it just kept growing from there. Elizabeth completed hey year program in animal care at Durham College in 2015 allowing her to gain an understanding of animal behavior. She has been a part of the boarding team since December 2016, and has loved every second of it. While is loves her job – she does also enjoy relaxing and reading with her very own lovable fur babies “Bella” and “Hazel”.
