Natalie has been with us since October 2007. She started in Client Services and made the move to ERA a year later. She is now the ERA supervisor and proud to be Dr. Lechten`s Exam Room Assistant. She is owned by 2 French Bulldogs: K.C. and Louie, a cat named Kiss and a thoroughbred horse named Ms. Demena. In the past Natalie owned a catering company and a coffee shop and been in the customer service industry for 25 years! She enjoys trail riding, gardening and volunteering for animal related causes. She has always loved animals and that’s what brought her here to the Allandale Team.
Caitlyn joined us in september of 2007. She completed her Hotel and Resort diploma from Georgian college but prefers working with animals. You will find Caitlyn working on our team as an exam room technician. Caitlyn has recently grtaduated as a Canine Rehabilitation technician and also works alongside Dr. Rogers in our Rehab programs. She has a golden retriever named Kash and is currently leasing a horse named Magic. In her spare time Caitlyn enjoys competing in horse shows throughout the summer months, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends!
Emma is a graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design, where she studied photography. She loves photographing all types of animals, especially horses. In her spare time, Emma enjoys volunteering for a local exotic animal sanctuary, baking and horseback riding. She has loved animals her whole life. Her current pets include 3 guinea pigs, 2 cats, a goldfish, a dog and a horse.
Martina joined the Allandale Veterinary Hospital team in the fall of 2014 after moving to Barrie from Guelph with her fiancé. Martina successfully completed the Veterinary Medical Office Administration Program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in 2010. With her previous experience at Guelph Animal Hospital, The Guelph Humane Society and several veterinary clinics in Guelph, as well as the Ministry of Natural Resources, Martina brings a variety of skills and experience to the table in her position with us. In the future, Martina plans to continue developing her knowledge and know-how in the veterinary field.
Martina and her husband welcomed their first child last summer and have enjoyed going hiking, camping, spending days at the beach and just loving being new parents. Martina definitely has her hands full with her son, but also with a house full of fur babies as well, she shares her home with two very energetic dogs ‘Charlie’ and ‘Beatrice’ and three affectionate cats ‘Jeffery’, ‘Dexter’ and ‘Percy’
Jonathan is fluent in Spanish and sign language, coming all the way from west end Toronto to Barrie, originally moving to be closer to Georgian where he attended school. Jonathan joins us as an assistant in our exam rooms, you’ll be greeted by his smiling personality. He loves veterinary medicine especially has a keen interest in behavior. In 2018 Jonathan traveled with our team to Todos Santos Guatemala, where he worked as a translator, in the recovery ward and assisting when needed. In his leisure time this dancing Latino, loves biking, and spending play time with his dog “Duchess”. What does the future hold we asked him? “perhaps becoming a veterinary technician once day, who knows?” he replies.
Meghan has been with the Allandale team since February 2015, starting out in client services but finding her way to the exam room assistant role shortly after!
She has always been an animal owner and lover and worked briefly as a dog groomer before coming to Allandale. Meghan has previously volunteered with the Toronto Humane Society and is certified in canine first aid and CPR.
After taking some time off in 2017 to welcome son, Clark, with her husband Cory, Meghan is excited to be able to jump back into assisting with AVH fundraising events and charitable work and will focus on continuing education in the coming year.
Meghan has been a professional musician and saxophone player for 18 years and is currently sitting in the tenor chair with the Skyliners Big Band in Barrie.
Meghan, Cory and Clark are looking to adopt a four legged family member to add to their household!
“Growing up I have always loved animals and helping all the ones in need. My goal one day is to have a hobby farm where I can continue to care for my furry family.” In Amber’s spare time she enjoys going on nature walks with her two dogs Opie and Stormy, reading, photography, and staying connected with friends and family
